About Me

Hello!
My name is Kimberly Clymer and I am excited to be a part of the Spartan family!  As a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University, I earned a degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, my husband, Scott and I moved from Hammond, Louisiana to Clear Lake, Texas, and I began teaching in Alvin ISD. I spent six years teaching at E.C. Mason before making a decision to stay home with my two children.

Our family moved to Katy in 2002, and I have been employed by Katy ISD since 2005 as a teacher (part-time teacher, long-term sub. & substitute) in one capacity or another. When I was offered a teaching position at SLJH, I was extremely excited. It has been such a blessing to spend the past few months getting to know your children, and I am truly honored to be their teacher for the remainder of this year.

I have been married to Scott for 30 years and have three children; Olivia (Recent Graduate-UT-Health Center at MD Anderson), Stanton (Soph. at UL-Lafayette) and Kristen (Junior-CRHS).  I was born and raised in Reserve, Louisiana, a small town on the Mississippi River about halfway between New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

My goal is to set up a rich learning environment that provides each student the opportunity to achieve their optimal level.  A teacher’s job isn’t just pure instruction, but rather nurturing students’ interests while guiding them through a structured curriculum.

I have always loved teaching and these students are excited and eager to learn. Each day is different, and they are a constant source of amazement.
It has been an extremely rewarding adventure!

Also to the staff , it's been a blessing to be a part of such a supportive team at Seven Lakes Junior High. Since the first day I walked on campus, I have felt right at home! Thanks to everyone for the unending encouragement and support.

I look forward to finishing the school year well.

All the Best,

Kimberly Clymer
